Their work ethic and craftsmanship are top notch. New shower and floor tiles were arranged before installation for best appearance. The end result is a beautiful and enjoyable new shower that increases the value of our home. We will contact High Sierra again for any remodeling work we decide to do.

High Sierra Remodeling & Construction, not only professional at what they do but also reliable and dependable. We had our house completely remodeled (new kitchen, floors, new bathrooms, lighting, etc.) The quality of work was excellent!
Travis and Jay and their whole team were great to work with, and very professional. There were several trades involved in the overall construction and Travis & Jay made sure the work was coordinated so that there were no delays and kept the work flowing so that it was completed in our expected timeframe. Any homeowner choosing to work with them will be very pleased and extremely satisfied.

Being new to the Reno/Sparks area we didn’t know a contractor, but we quickly in need of one. Our primary shower pan was leaking, actually it was a flooding. We contacted several plumbers and contractors who scheduled an appointment to come look at our situation and they never showed up.
We contacted several more and of the four that finally came, one never got back to us with a price, one told us he couldn’t give a set price because he would want to rip it out first, the third guy came over and was very friendly but when we received the price he included things we did not want and the written price was twice as much.
Travis from High Sierra responded to our inquiry, he listened to what we needed, and he gave us a written contract that included everything we discussed. We decided to go with High Sierra. We could not be happier with the result.
Rich and a coworker from High Sierra showed up when promised to begin the remodel. They were professional, very neat and clean respecting our home, and they did an excellent job. Travis stopped by several times during the process which made me feel as though he was truly involved.
I appreciated that. During the entire process my questions were answered (and I had several). Rich showed me why the existing pan leaked, and he took time to be sure the new tile niche was exactly placed how I wanted, and he made sure tile choice of vertical or horizontal was done correctly to what I wanted. The tile work by Rich was exceptionally well done. I can’t say that enough.
I certainly had a wonderful experience working with High Sierra and have a beautiful shower. I would recommend this contractor to everyone.

I chose High Sierra Remodeling and Construction because when I met with Travis Gunter, one of the owners of the company, he and I had a similar vision for what I wanted to have done.
High Sierra remodeled both of my bathrooms, my entire kitchen, replaced the flooring and all the doors in the house, and did a number of electrical jobs throughout the house.
I was able to stay in my home during the entire process. Is it easy to live in a construction zone? Absolutely not, but I was so pleased with the work Jay (the other owner) did to make the process as painless as possible.
Each day, he and his partner made sure to clean up the area that they were working in so that I could relax in the areas of my house that were not being renovated at the time. The remodeling began on June 19 (as a teacher, this is my summer break) and Jay would arrive every morning at 9:00. This allowed me to have a relaxing morning before the construction began for the day.
When I went back to work, Jay would even take my dog outside for a bathroom break whenever he was not able to be in the space that allowed him to go outside due to work being done. My kitchen and guest bathroom are gorgeous.
The master bathroom was the biggest renovation of all. All the plumbing had to be moved so that I could get both a soaking tub, and curbless shower. They had to remove an entire wall in the bathroom to accomplish this, but I am so pleased with the luxurious space that I ended up with.
Jay answered my million questions and was always able to find a way to accommodate any extra requests I had. The job was slated to take 12-13 weeks and High Sierra delivered on their timeline. I would highly recommend them for your next remodeling project.

Incredible work. We needed a wall taken out of our house and a support beam added in.
High Sierra paid attention to detail and was very meticulous throughout the whole process.
Overall a really smooth and great experience. I will be using them again for a full kitchen remodel.

Travis and Jay replaced our house’s original Berber carpet (why do builders fill houses with the stuff?! Answer: It’s cheap. Also, inelegant!) with gorgeous prefinished oak flooring, the week of Jan. 3. I wanted one-stop shopping–demolition, prep work, laying the flooring, putting up and finishing the new trim and thresholds, disposal of all construction debris.
The job also included moving, then repositioning heavy furniture and covering anything that would be adversely affected when they painted the trim, in place. The job was drama-free and they masked up as per my request, while in the house. It was also pretty much perfect. These guys know their craft. They even (Jay) worked a lovely transition between the taller trim, down to the lower (again, builder-grade) trim, where required. It’s really lovely.
I often purposefully walk into the dining room and hallway areas now, just to admire the new beauty of those spaces. I would definitely recommend these guys for wood floor work. They said it would take 5 days. It took 5 days.

Travis and Jason are a top notch pair. I’m handy person, and they were able to identify my needs, provide a solution for them, keep in constant communication, keep the budget intact, and deliver the full package when all said and done, and they were pleasant all along the way.
Everything was transparent and professional, and I had no problem writing the check, because they delivered, and did it happily.

I can’t say enough about them. I will start with how Travis and Jay were professional, helpful and reliable. I recently bought a house that was a rental for the past 10 years and let’s just say it wasn’t well kept. From the start to finish I was impressed with their work and ability to get the job done.
I felt comfortable with them doing the work and was very happy with the work. I was never worried about what I would find at the end of the day of their work, I knew I would be happy. They were able to start sooner than they thought and were done before the time frame. Travis always answered my million questions and was more than accommodating to me. Thank you for taking my nightmare of a house and giving me my dream home. I can’t recommend these guys enough, you won’t be upset if you hire them.

Excellent experience! Work was performed exactly the way they said it would be, it was done in the time frame they stated and they were professional and courteous. The thing we were most impressed by was their cleanliness. I’m picky when it comes to this.
I expected dust and small debris and was fully prepared to not be able to use anything in the area they were working for the entire time frame.
To my surprise, not only did they take care to keep the dust from getting out of the area, they cleaned up and organized their tools and stored them out of the way so we could use most of the area, they cleaned up all small random debris, vacuumed hallways they used, and swept the front entry….and they did that every day for a week +. You can always tell the quality of someone’s work by how they leave their work area each day and these guys are a standard people should work hard to live up to. Thanks again, will recommend and use in the future for sure!

These guys are THE BEST. In the midst of dealing with other frustrating contractors, Travis and his team were the absolute epitome of professionalism. We reached out to HSR&C to gut our guest bathroom, change the tub/shower combo to a walk-in shower, and leave the area prepped for the finishing work.
Travis was quick to respond, and most importantly, he was honest. Honest that they were busy at the time and it might be a couple months out, but would try to squeeze our project in if time allowed. We were thrilled when it worked out and they were able to get our project on the schedule quicker than estimated. Jay was the team member who did most of our project, and what a great guy he is! He was professional, efficient, answered our questions, and left us fully prepared to continue the project once they’d finished.
Not only did HSR&C do an excellent job at the time, but I found myself texting/meeting with Jay and Travis a few months later with questions about our shower drain. They were more than willing to come check it out and ensure that everything was up to par for the finishing.
Cannot recommend Travis, Jay, and High Sierra enough. Looking forward to working with them again in the future!

Travis, John and Dalton were awesome to work with. This was my first time ever doing a kitchen remodel and using a professional contractor so I was pretty nervous. I also had a wall with electrical and a gas fireplace removed that had separated the kitchen area from the living room. Needless to say I was impressed with their work. John and Dalton were very respectful and enjoyable to work with. I work from home so I was there all day with them.
They were careful and meticulous with demolition and installation and always answered any question I had no matter how ridiculous it might have been. I am extremely happy with the renovation and so glad I was able to work with High Sierra. They will definitely be my first choice if I ever do a renovation again and I have recommended them to my friends and family. Thank you Travis, John, and Dalton! The dogs and Ryder say thank you as well!

I hired High Sierra to completely remodel a small bathroom. Scope of work included demolition of existing fixtures down to the studs and expansion of the bathroom into an adjacent closet (which was walled off). The bathroom was then completely re-built with a custom tile shower enclosure and new fixtures.
From day 1, High Sierra displayed a high level of professionalism. The crew showed up on time every day and cleaned up at the end of each shift. Communication was outstanding from start to finish and I was very comfortable having the guys in my house throughout the process.
Attention to detail was outstanding and it is clear that the company takes great pride in its workmanship. I would not hesitate to hire this company in the future and highly recommend them for all of your remodeling needs.
